3 Ways to Cool It (When You Feel Like a Fire-Breathing Dragon)

    Are you a mother or a fur baby mommy? 

    Children and pets are so precious and wonderful additions to our lives.

    However, have you ever felt like some days you want to hide?

    It’s normal.

    Maternal responsibilities are huge and require discipline and patience. I know many women that can honestly admit they have days where they feel like they’re ready to jump off a cliff.

    My own precious little Hannah can have her moments, especially during thunderstorms where she is bouncing off the walls and barking non-stop. It is so upsetting for me to watch. But if I overreact and seem agitated, it only compounds the situation. I think kids respond the same way. 

    So, what can you do when your little dragon is breathing hot fire down your back?

    Step back and take a pause- a moment for you to breath, re-center and collect your thoughts.

    Here are 3 ways to cool it when you feel like a fire-breathing dragon:


  1. Physically step backwards a foot or two, you’re moving yourself out of heated energy
  2. Do some deep breathing, maybe for a minute or two. Just make sure the inbreath and outbreath are equal and slow.
  3. Think about desired optimal results before re-engaging the conversation. It re-centers you into a higher vibration, where you can be more effective.

    It can be really easy to lose it and scream but we both know that doesn’t work well and makes you feel like shit.

The Important Trick for Manifesting Your Desires

You have desires, I have desires.

Are they based on real needs or just egoic wants?

How attached are you to the outcome of your desires?

 Will you be disappointed if you don’t get your desires or surrender to the idea of a greater plan at work here for the highest and best for everyone. The more questions I asked myself, the deeper I went in putting the pieces together of a puzzling concept of desires.

Do your desires come from your heart or your head? 

The truth is they come from both.

Heart’s desires which feel more inspirational are value based and usually involve service to others.

Desires from your head are inherently more materialistic and less altruistic, they focus on your needs.

Desires that are less about immediate gratification but more about long term fulfillment bring a higher-level of reward or happiness. 

Material or self-centered desires can have a less success and bring more unhappiness or deep disappointment if they don’t happen.

The big lesson here is to be very clear on your desires.

Here are some journaling prompts to help you get clear on your desires:

  • Why do you want what you desire?
  • What is the part of you that is wanting it? (head or heart)
  • Who will benefit from your desire?
  • How will you feel if you don’t get it?

If you answer these questions honestly, you will know if you must have it.

It also gives you an opportunity to reframe or modify what you are putting out for the Universe to deliver.

Being very clear about the ability to get it or let it go so you don’t end up disappointed, can be very helpful in the manifesting process.

The less attachment, the easier it is for the Universe to deliver. Remember asking for similar or something better leaves you with many more options.

Having a methodical and confident way to look at your desires will save a lot of disappointment in the future. Remember, disappointment is a result of your attachment to outcome or failed expectations.

5 Steps to Turn Your Dreams to Reality

Do you have a big, juicy, audacious dream?

Something that makes you tingle from your head to the tips of your toes? 

Something so fabulous that your inner mean girl says, “no freaking way!" ?

If it couldn’t happen, you wouldn’t be able to think about it. It means that if you can see it, it already exists somewhere in the cosmos. Shit, nobody ever told me that when I was growing up!

Let me give you some examples. When I was kid, I had a problem reading. I had to take special remedial reading classes. When I decided to write a book in 2009, I could see it, I could feel it.

However, based on my previous challenges, I was probably a long shot. I held the vision and in 2012, Alpha Chick  was released and became an Amazon Best Seller with six literary awards.

Since my first book, I have connected with women from all over the globe who've shared my passion to serve women in a meaningful and empowering way. I have to be honest, I never thought I would be emailing and personally interviewing them for my podcast! This is just another example of holding a powerful vision.

In my last email, I suggested taking pictures of your dreams and putting them in a folder.

Now I am challenging you to take action on those dreams.

Here are 5 Steps to Turn Your Dreams to Reality

  1. Who do you need to help you with your dream/vision? Think big again, don’t be shy! 
  2. What do you need to do to start the process? Creating a mind map or good outline are excellent places to start. 
  3. What are the first three steps you can take to start creating it?
  4. How long do you need to make this happen? Create a time table for yourself. Put dates in your calendar for accountability. 
  5. What resources or research do you need?

My own bursts of inspiration have come from going through incredible challenges and difficult things that have knocked me to my knees. I’m suggesting you start manifesting before life throws you an unexpected curveball.
